What are trigger points?

Trigger points are painful points that feel like "knots" when touched.In fact, these are abbreviated muscle fibers of the muscle. In the presence of trigger points, biochemical processes change, local blood circulation, the affected muscles are painful and weak. The reasons for their appearance are numerous:

• excessive or chronic muscle overload;
• psychological stress;
• direct trauma, etc.;

How does the treatment work?

Compression of a trigger point may cause local sensitivity, forwarded pain or local twitch response. The local response to twitching is not the same as muscle spasm. This is because muscle spasm refers to the contraction of the whole muscle, while the local response to twitch also refers to the whole muscle, but includes only a little twitch, without contraction.  The treatment of trigger points may be sensitive but should never be unbearable. The treatment of the trigger points and the affected muscle is by pressure, stretching, DEEP OSCILLATION ®, ultrasound and others.
